My best friend Elyssa and I had a ton of fun taking Stingy Style's first ever photoshoot!! Taken with my Richard Phillips "Spectrum" painting, this white on white combo stood out with so many colors!

Style Books--Start Collecting!

amThese are some books that I think should be on everyone's bookshelves. The photos are just inspiring and you could stare and inspect them forever. 
Also makes for a great coffee table book, not gonna lie.
...if you're into that.

Cindy Sherman is one of my all-time favorite photographers. She is considered a portrait photographer, but she only ever photographs herself in different "disguises." Thus some don't consider her a photographer at all (since she really never snaps the photo), some would just call her a set designer, or costume designer. None the less, if you would recognize Marc Jacobs print campaigns from magazines, you should already know Cindy Sherman because she is the one who started Marc's campaigns comme ça. 

In this book, Cindy Sherman and Juergen Teller teamed up to photograph themselves for Marc Jacobs clothing line.

Here are some spreads from the book, her style is...entertaining to say the least.

Tara Donovan is a contemporary sculptor whom (whom?) I completely admire. Her works are extraordinary and they literally keep you guessing. She usually makes installations of everyday objects such as styrofoam cups, pencil shavings, straws, etc., but uses them in mass to make them look more of nature...less materialistic? Make sense?...didn't think so. Maybe after you see some examples...
