Wednesday night, myself and ten friends went to the monthly "cooking class" held by Chef Scott Walton of Markethouse, at Markethouse. The Chicago restaurant hosts the dinner once a month featuring a five-course tasting menu (with drink pairings!) of plates the Chef has conjured up with the restaurant's Farm-to-Table concept. Each month features a different theme for the menu; this month- heirloom tomatoes, featured in each course. Although the chef makes an attempt to cook the meal in front of the twenty-some guests, everyone is too enamored by the food and drink concoctions to pay too close of attention! We have such an amazing time each month and truly challenge our palettes.
Want to come, check out the 'Events' section of Markethouse's website.
I wish that the photos turned out better, but unfortunately it was dark in the restaurant, found equally difficult for the Chef's cooking lesson. (Wish pictures of my outfit turned out better too, not seen, but FYI I wore the same outfit as I did for Fashion's Night Out...sue me.)
